Well, I think it's a little of both. One reason I don't drink is because I feel like someone needs to be in control for the kids sake. But also, if I do try to drink to get a buzz, I usually just end up sick and feeling like crap. I probably only drink about 3-4 times a year. My birthday, anniversary, new years........and then it's only 1 or 2 drinks. Most of my problem though isn't the alcohol so much as the carbonation. I don't even drink soft drinks that much.

As you can see, I made my blog public again. I'm not sure how long I will keep it this way though. I am giving it a test run for now, to see how I like it, see what kind of visitors and comments I get. If I do turn it back to priviate again, I will reinvite everyone that I had before...

Ask me (almost) anything

I am taking a break from cleaning my filthy house, (have I mentioned I live with pigs ?), to visit with y'all for a few. I've also been taking a break from cleaning to help the hubby repot plants so we can try to sell them. I mentioned in an earlier post about bringing plants -n- stuff here from the in-laws old nursary that was being robbed left and right. Well, now we are also trying to rid ourselves of some of the clutter that this has created around here and hopefully make some bucks in the process. And yes, FIL gave his permission, in fact, it was his idea to sell the stuff. So what I want to know is when are y'all going to come down to lower Al. and buy some of our crap? J/K of course, but it would be nice............
I know that I'll be working at least 2 days next week, and poss. more. The K-4 teacher wants me to let K-bug come to her class when I work Tues. I think I prob. will, but I am so embarassed about bugs hair right now 'cause I cannot do anything with it since she decided to give herself a hair cut last weekend. I told her if she does it again I'm going to shave her head like her daddy's. Man, I thought she had grown out of this. She cut it almost 2 years ago, and it just had gotten to where it finally looked normal again. Now it has all these short, and I mean supper short, like an inch long in some places, areas on her head. I didn't have this problem with my boys, which would have been so much easier since I Could shave their heads. I just can't bring myself to cut her hair short. Plus the hubby would go balistic if I did anyway.

I am still trying to post as often as I can manage. Unfortunatally, most of my posts will be just this boring. I would like to post about deeper, more personal stuff, but I'm not quite sure just how personal I'm willing to go. I do plan on doing the 100 things about me, which is bound to be at least a little personal....I guess we'll see. In the mean time, if there is stuff y'all want to know, just ask. I will try to answer anything and everything that I can.

Now I gotta go eat something before my blood sugar bottoms out and I can't function to clean. If it wasn't for the fact that I am already getting the shakes........I just really don't want to clean, lol.

A little of this, a little of that......

So things have settled down a bit this week. I only had two days scheduled, Mon. and Fri. Next week I have 3. That I can deal with. I still have time to clean, do laundry, and go to the store.

I am enjoying the work though. Now that I have figured out what classes NOT to sub for. I won't go near the 5th grade. A lot of those kids are just to smart mouthed to deal with. There are a certain few classes that I won't go back to either. Thats because of the teachers being unorganized, (this drives me nuts), and it reflects on the behavier of the children in their classes, and in the instructions that they leave for me. The day is sooooo much easier when I given clear instructions from the teachers.



Any way, I'm sure y'all are tired of hearing about my life as a sub. So what else is going on? Not a lot really. K-bug has discovered a new word thanks to her brothers. She was riding her bick down the hill of my parents drive-way, (small incline really), and went over a small bump at the bottom. Mom heard her say, "Ow, I hurt my nuts", when she went over the bump. Now I want y'all to know that she was actually refering to her bottom, but still......It was funny, but I now have to explain to her why she can't say that anymore. This after she told one of her brothers that she was going to kick them in the nuts. Hubby is the only one who heard it that time, and wasn't sure if that's what she really said. I'd have to say that he heard right. Ah, the joy of boys, and what they can teach their baby sister. They keep life interesting.....................



Thanks to Lisa, I am going to work on my own 100 things about me list. Of course this could take a while, so don't look for it any time soon.



And last but not least, I want to give a shout out to all of you working moms out there. I had really forgotten how hard it could be. I worked at Home Depot for 6 months when the boys were small, (Boo was 3 mths when I started). It was easier then, they weren't big enough to make much of a mess around the house, or give me a ton of laundry. But now with 3 kids......it's crazy. I have found the key to making it work and keeping my sanity is staying organized.

So to all of the working moms out there...I admire y'all for making it work, your my inspiration to making it work in my life too.

Where did my week go?

Ugh...so tired.
I FINALLY got a day off today. Yes, I have been working everyday, except weekends, which have been busy as well. Week before last I worked all week in one K-4 class, last week I worked in the other K-4 class, then this week I have worked back in the first K-4 class. I loved it, but I am also exhausted. Monday I'll have 4th graders, and Friday 2nd graders. I also have 2 days scheduled for the week after that, and could very possibley be offered more. I am enjoying it, and could defiently use the good paychecks, but holy crap....you'd think I was the only avaible sub.
Any way, I miss y'all and am now going to try to catch up on y'alls posts. Hopefully I'll have more to say tomorrow.
BTW spell check isn't working...so now y'all know I can't spell worth a crap sometimes, LOL

Hey y'all!

Wow, last week was busy. I even missed my blogaversary. I worked as a teachers aid in a K-4 class all week. It was so fun and so exhausting all at the same time. I fell in love with almost all of the kids. And the best part was I got to take K-bug with me. She totally thinks she is the shit now that she has gone to school. I'll be subbing again this Thursday and Friday for the other K-4 class, (the kids are out of school Mon., Tues., and Wed. for Pres. day and Mardi Gras). K-bug is so excited that she gets to go to school with me again. Now the big question, will I be able to get her to stay with Maw maw without a fight when I am not subbing K-4? Time will tell.

And since I missed it on Saturday....a big shout out HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my girl Lisa. Love ya girl, and I hope your B-day was a great one. Man we're getting old, LOL.

Now I have to get caught up on my house work and laundry......being a working Mom kinda sucks when you've been a stay at home one for 9 years, but I think I like it all the same!
