Our Merry Christmas

I hope everyone had a safe and wonderful Christmas. Ours was great. We went WAY overboard this year, but it was sooo worth it. I am and only child, and both my parents worked when I was a kid, so I was always pretty well spoiled on Christmas. This year we were actually able to do that for our kids. And yes, I know that it's not about the stuff or how much of it, but it was really cool to be able to do it this year. Who knows if we ever will be able to again? We got a 4-wheeler for the three of them to share, plus countless toys and games. New jammies that they opened Christmas Eve, and bikes from Mawmaw and Pawpa. Oh, and Bug got the Baby Alive that pees and poops, (yes....gross...I know).
The Hubby did very well for me this year. Since we've had kids if he does get me anything, he'll give money to one of my friends to go pick me something out. This year he got me both things I've been wanting.... a Wii and an embroidery machine, anybody need anything monogrammed? But the best part was the fact that he made an actual effort and went and shopped for me. See, sometimes he can be wonderful. The Wii has really made a great family toy. We have all been bowling or playing golf since I hooked it up last night. We even had a 5 hour, (I know, right), tournament last night bowling with my brother-in-law and my BFF, (his girlfriend).
All in all it's been an awesome holiday. I loved seeing how happy my kids were yesterday morning, and still are as they enjoy all their new stuff.

After opening presents, and riding the four-wheeler for a while, we headed over to my parents to open more presents and eat her delicious food. I got to bring home left-overs, so I won't be cooking for a couple of days!
I hope y'all had a great Christmas too, and got to spend time with family and/or friends.

My crazy week.....

I am soooo tired. Today has been my only day off this week and I spent it Christmas shopping. I subbed 5th grade all week, and let me just tell y'all, I don't want to do that again for a while! By Thursday I was ready to pull my hair out. Or duck tape their mouths shut! Most of them are good kids, they just don't know when to shut up.
I've got the teacher gifts taken care of. I found some plastic baskets at the Dollar Tree, I figured they can use them in class after, and in them I am putting a bottle of body wash, Avon hand lotion and chap stick, a crystal ornament, sample size perfume, and some home-make peanut clusters. I'll take them up to the school Wednesday when they have their class parties, I will also be working that day in Bug's class.
Then she has a field trip Thursday to the Mall to see Santa. And Friday is their last day for the year. I can't believe they get out almost a week before Christmas and don't go back until January 6th. At least they'll have new stuff to keep them entertained.
As for my Christmas shopping, all I have left is one more thing for my kids, something for my parents, maybe something for the Hubby, (he's already bought stuff for himself, so.....), and some gift cards for our friends kids.
Tomorrow, (no promises), I will try to post pics of the Christmas lights, and Bug and Boo in their Christmas program from last Tuesday night at school.
Only 12 shopping days left.......Happy Shopping!!!

Christmas Shopping........

Well it's that wonderful time of year again......Christmas shopping. I didn't go on black Friday.....I just can't deal with the crowds, no matter how good the sale. I'm almost done shopping for my kids, (thank you e-bay!!!), Now I need to get for everyone else on my list. I'm trying to decide if I should buy for all my kids teachers, or just the main ones. Let me explain....G-man has 3 teachers, (reading, math, and science), Boo has 2 teachers, (math, everything else), and Bug has 2 teachers, (teacher and teachers aid). That's a total of 7 teachers! I want to scale it down to 4, but I feel like I'm being rude to the other 3 if I don't give them something as well, after all, they teach my children too. Besides, G-man see's his 3 teachers an equal amount of time everyday, so I don't feel right about leaving 2 of them out. Any advice on inexpensive gifts that I can give these seven ladies would be most helpful and appreciated.........

I finally got a pre-lit tree this year :-). The kids and I got it all decorated yesterday, and the hubby and I hung up lights outside today. I will try to take some pics tonight to post.

Y'all pray for me next week please!!! I will have 5th graders Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I really hope they don't give me a hard time. Especially having to deal with them 3 days in a row. I'll let y'all know how it goes. Speaking of subbing, I worked last Thursday and had a run in with the most disrespectful 9 year old I've ever met. 10 minutes into class I told him to get all his stuff together because he was not coming back in there that day, and took him to the office. At least I do realize, and let the kids know, that I don't have to put up with their crap. I will say this though, I really wanted to knock his teeth down his throat....thank God for self control.

Facebook has taken over my life......

.....seriously, I rarely visit this blog anymore except to read y'alls posts. I wonder if their is a facebookers anonymous meeting somewhere....yeah, probably on FACEBOOK.

Really, I just haven't had the time to sit here and think up a post. It's easier to type out a quick one-liner about what I'm doing "right now", and then go about my day. Only problem is that I do that several times a day.
I have pictures to prove that I've been busy......

This is the Thanksgiving feast that we had in Bug's class the Monday before.
Wasn't she a cute little pilgrim?
Half the kids were pilgrims and half were indians. The costumes turned out really well, and so did all the food!LOL.

My sweet baby girl has been riding her bike w/o training wheels for a week now! I am so proud of her, and also, so sad. That was the last of my babies to take off on two wheels...:-(

It only took her about ten minutes to get her balance good....then she was gone.

Getting ready for the big game. I made her a cheerleader costume last week after I couldn't find one her size in the store. I wish Hubby would have taken a better picture of her in it.

The three little bama fans practicing their tackling skills.

"What Mom, I'm just watchin' Auburn get spanked..."

Me: "Don't take my picture while I'm eating!!!"

The Iron Bowl Saturday was awesome! (36-0 baby) We had some friends over to eat and watch the game. It was fun, but would have been better had it been a pretty day instead of the all-day-long-rain.
I know all the Auburn fans will be going for Florida next Saturday...we'll just have to wait and see how it goes....
