Hey y'all, just wanted to let you know that I will be working all week so I probably won't be able to post again for a little while. Y'all have fun and play nice while I'm gone -K-, he he. I'll see y'all next Monday!
First off, thanks y'all for the comments, it really does make me feel better. And btw I was totally kidding about beating up the husband, he is, after all, much bigger than me, and I really DO love him. He, like most husbands, just really pisses me off sometimes.
Well yesterday I subed fourth grade. For me it is probably the easiest grade to sub. It also reconfirmed that I do not want to do this full time. No doubt I would bring it home with me. I ended up talking to this one little boy whom apparently has kind of a rough home life. I hope I said the right things to him. I hope I at least made that day a little better for him. I was so sad for him, he said his step dad tells him he is trash, this on top of getting picked on at school by a handful of children. And I know there are many other kids at the school going through similar things. As a sub it's not like I am going to make some big change in their lives, so I just gave him the best advice I could think of and hope it helped a little. He seems to be a good kid, no worse than any other little boy his age, and I'd hate to see the issues he has to deal with change that. Like I told him, childhood is just a small part of the rest of your life. Try not to let others opinions of you matter much and just be the best person you can be. And that over time, treating others the way you want to be treated really does work.
On a lighter note....last Saturday night I went to my neighbors for a jewelry party. My cousin sells Premier Design jewelry. It's a little pricey, but also worth it. When my order comes in I will try to post pictures. Lisa, maybe I can plan a jewelry party for when you are here, what do ya think? Just let me know.
Well y'all, that's all for now. It's time for me to get started on my bajillion loads of laundry, lol. And yes that is a word, in my world anyway, so shut-up spell check.
Well am I brilliant or what? I got a wild hair up my ass this morning and decided to change the look of my blog. Okay, I did it because I was jealous that others had changed theirs and so I wanted a change to. Any who.....Being the computer genius that I am I managed to delete a years worth of archives right along with my old layout. I guess that's why it tells you at the top that you might want to save a copy first before making any changes, but did I listen? Well duh, of course not, I just get in too big of a hurry sometimes. All of my (cough, cough) brilliant work down the tubes. At least I was able to find most of the links to y'alls blogs. So 11 days until my blogaversary and almost nothing to show for it. If anyone knows of a way to retrieve any of it Please let me know.
BTW, I have to work tomorrow, but I am going to try really hard to post a lot more often, and maybe even manage not to delete them all again, lol.
Yes, I know, I haven't posted in a while and I am sorry. Things have been a little crazy and out of whack around here lately. I have went ahead and started on my spring cleaning. I know it's not even spring yet, but with all the crap that builds up around here it's still going to take me until summer to get it all done, (darn pack-rat husband). When not cleaning, I have been working. I have been getting lots of calls to sub, and have even turned some down just because I don't want to get burned out being up at the school a bunch or feel like I am taking advantage of my mom for having to babysit a lot.
Also, to be honest, I just haven't felt like blogging. I've been a little down lately. Maybe it's the weather, more likely it the husband. Like I have said before, things go up and down for us. Things are fine again now, but we spent most of last week not speaking to one another, and when we did, we argued. Has any of y'all ever wanted to take a baseball bat to the side of your loved ones head? No? Just me? Okay then, never mind, forget I mentioned it...........I really, really, really love my husband, (otherwise I wouldn't still be married to him).
But yeah the sun is out and it's just warm enough for the kids to go outside. Maybe I can get motivated to do some cleaning instead of just sitting around eating. Cause the vicious cycle of sadness-eating-weight gain-sadness-etc. has got to stop before it makes me crazy. I'm thinking about looking into, (I think it's called), sparkpeople.com and see what it's all about.
