Let the cooking begin...........

There probably won't be a lot of blogging going on this week, I know I won't be anyway. And I am sure most of you will be as busy as I. I've got shopping, cooking and cleaning to get done this week.......we'll see just how much I actually get accomplished.

This is one of the things I plan on making for Thanksgiving. Black Forrest Cake......Yummy!

The spa party was pretty fun. Even though I didn't really "spa", instead I helped my friend with it since there were so many guests. I really enjoyed getting to hang with my cousin whom I don't see very often since she lives across town, and we are both so busy with our kids. It was great getting away for a few a having a girls night.

I would have posted about this yesterday, but I didn't have the chance. That's because I had my first sub job yesterday! Yeah me! It was kindergarten, so that wasn't too bad, but I was still really nervous. I did manage to get through the day, and I will do it again. At least now I have my foot in the door and know a little bit more about what to expect. I was wore out by the end of the day. Caring for my 3 is nothing compared to caring for 16, (very energetic), five year olds. Thank goodness a lot of the staff there already knows me, and were very nice and helpful.
Today I get to relax and recover from yesterday by cleaning my neglected house, and disposing of my son's dead turtle. Yes, that is a whole other story....when I woke G-man up this morning, I noticed an awful smell in his room. I finally checked the turtle, whom we have had for close to 2 years, and he wasn't moving. "Sorry guys....your turtle is dead. No, he's not just sleeping....I poked him and he didn't move." They were upset. I probably should have waited until after school to have told them. Oh well, such is life...........Now I have to figure out how to dispose of it. Wait a minute....today is trash day, or should I bury him? What do y'all think?

Free for a few

I am sooo excited! Tonight I get to go to a margarita spa party at my cousins house. My neighbor sells Beauty Control, and she is the one doing the spa for my cousin. My cousin sells jewelry and my neighbor will be returning the favor by hosting a party for her in the near future. All great stuff, now I just need a job so I can afford to buy something, he he.

I have been to several of these spa parties, have even hosted one myself, and they are so fun. You know how it is...get a bunch of crazy women together, add alcohol.....good times! My neighbor doesn't drink so I will be riding with her. Although, I'm not much of a drinker myself, but it's better to be safe in case I do decide to have a couple. What I am really looking forward to is getting out of this house and not having to hear "Mama" for a couple of hours. I REALLY need the break.

Halloween pictures

Here are the Halloween pictures I promised y'all, (if blogger will cooperate that is).

Both of the boys dressed as vampires. Hubby said I did a good job on there make-up and costumes because they looked like pictures he's seen of the "vampires" in Romania, (which is where hubby is originally from). Cool! K-bug wanted to be a kitty kat, (like Dora), so that was pretty easy. All in all I spent under $30 to do all 3 costumes, yeah me. I ended up with my 3, the little boy across the street, the wife of hubbys co-worker and her baby for trick-or-treating. We weren't even out an hour, how sad is that? But we were all tired and it was a school night. For the most part though we had a good time. And I am soooo glad it's over.

In other news.....Things are better since my last post, for now. Hubby has since apologized, more than once, for being an ass. He's the sweetest man when he is sober. He is a total shithead, SOMETIMES, when he is drunk. After watching The Exorcist on TV the other night I wondered to myself if people still did that, exorcisms that is, and if it would work on the hubby. Crazy yes, but still, it's a thought. Probably wouldn't work anyway, don't you have to be Catholic, or at least know a priest? Hmmmm, note to self.....something to look into on sleepless night web surfing.
