Yes folks, I'm back. Last week was a rough one. I'm hoping this week will be better, (but I'm not counting on it). I guess I should start at the beginning.
Last Tuesday night my bff K had a seizure and hit her head on her ceramic tile floor. Another friend, D, called 911 and the EMT's checked K out and made sure someone would be with her through the night. Her boyfriend, my brother-in-law staid w/her.
Wed. she slept a lot, so I just called a few times to check on her. That evening her oldest son came over to get me because she wasn't feeling "right". I went to check on her and while I was there she had to mini-seizures and passed out. I called 911, and sent her boys across the street to stay with a neighbor. While waiting for the EMT's she had another seizure, and I was really starting to freak out. Now let me just say at this point that I have been through several seizures with her and have always kept it together, I know how to handle it. But this one was different. I KNEW she needed to go to the hospital. She ended up staying in the hospital until Friday. A lot of crap went on during those days, but I just can't get into all that. But I will say this. K has some tough love headed her way. The cause of her seizures is her not eating! Her eating disorder has decided to rear it's ugly head again. A few of us, her closest friends, are going to sit her down a give her a dose of tough love, how she needs to take care of herself because she is all her boys have, (her husband killed himself a year and 1/2 ago). I don't think we'll have to be to hard on her though. This seems to have been a wake up call for her. And she is blessed to have her friends that really care about her no matter what. What more can anyone ask for?
The reason I said this week might not be much better? Well, I might have been exaggerating that one. It might be fine, I've just got some personal stuff going on right now. I will share at a later date when I actually know what.........what it is I want to say.

Wow. I hope that your BF K is doing much better. That was a scary story. And just reading what you wrote about her DH...she does need to be there for her children, as hard as that might be. (I say that cuz it's not always easy for me)
Hang in there...with K and with your own personal things. Prayers and hugs sent your way...

I'm sending hugs, too. Sounds like a damn rough week. You are a good friend, sugar. K is lucky to have you!
